About The New Page Project

The New Page Project began as a school project in 2021 for our founders: Swathi, Sarah, and Iniya, and Swathi. The goal of the New Page Project is to promote reading and provide books to lower-income schools, bringing equity to students around the world. Our first-ever impact was at River Rouge STEM Academy, where with the help of countless teachers and library staff, we donated thousands of books to kids in need.

Now, we've expanded our membership to a group of students from multiple schools around Michigan. We're currently expanding to state chapters and even beginning international projects. The New Page Project has impacted the lives of thousands of students and counting at Whitman Elementary, Memorial Elementary, Pasteur Elementary, and many more schools to come!
